What’s Growing on Next Door?

What’s Growing on Next Door?

Admit it. You like knowing what your neighbours are up to.

Well, some of them are busy creating urban farms.

Because the supply of farmland around Victoria is limited and, if we’re going to have enough fresh local food for all, we’re going to have to farm the city too.

Find out all about it at “Food from the Hood: Backyards, Boulevards, and More”, presented at Seedy Saturday, 3 pm, February 18th at the Victoria Conference Centre. Representatives from four neighbourhood groups – the Gorge Tillicum Urban Farmers, Vic West Urban Farmers, Jubilee Urban Farmers, and Hillside Urban Farmers for Sustainability – will share how their groups started, what they do, and what they’ve learned.

Many thanks to the Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiatives Roundtable (also known as CR-FAIR) for sponsoring this session.
