If you’re wondering what’s going on with food policy planning around Victoria, you can find out at this year’s Seedy Saturday, February 18th in the Victoria Conference Centre.
At 2 pm, Pat Reichert, well known for her work on food security projects on Salt Spring Island, will be moderating a panel of food activists, members of local government, and participants in the Capital Region Food Policy working group.
They’ll be discussing “What’s the Current Hot Potato? Making Food Policy in the Capital Region”, a lively look at some of the most burning questions in developing good local food and agricultural policy – and what progress (or not) local governments are making in getting a grip on the issues.
Thanks to the Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiatives Roundtable (CR-FAIR) for sponsoring this session.
