An Edible Revolution?

An Edible Revolution?

These carrots may look like any old carrots, but they’re cleverly fooling you – they are actually revolutionary carrots. And they’re revolutionary because they’re part of a movement to rebuild regional food systems, so that more of our food comes from local sources.

To find out about – and maybe even join – this movement for change, come hear Jon Steinman (of the radio programme Deconstructing Dinner) and Linda Geggie (founder of LifeCycles) speak on “The Edible Revolution? Ingredients for Retooling Regional Food Systems” at this year’s Seedy Saturday, February 18th, 12:45 pm, in the Victoria Conference Centre.

Just remember: revolutionary edibles, good; revolting edibles, not so great.

And a big “thank you” to the Capital Region Food and Agriculture Initiatives Roundtable (CR-FAIR) for sponsoring this talk.
