
Fungi are truly fantastic. They decompose organic matter, play a fundamental role in nutrient cycling and have long been used as a direct source of food, such as mushrooms and truffles, involved in the production of antibiotics… and, more recently, as biological pesticides to control weeds, plant diseases and insect pests.
