Then you’ll love this special double-length Seedy Saturday session on the latest and greatest local ideas for growing more food in the city.
Sponsored by CR-FAIR and chaired by Linda Geggie, panelists will tell the stories of innovative local projects, happening right now, and how they can be encouraged to spread across the region.
Chris Hildreth will talk about growing food on unused rooftops; Matthew Kemshaw on collaborative community projects from seed libraries to community orchards; Gabe Epstein on community gardens that grow community as well as food; and Aaron Topley on schoolyard gardens.
Session starts at 11:30, with lots of time after the presentations for questions and discussions. So come join in for a peek over the garden gate at some of greater Victoria’s freshest ideas for urban agriculture.
