Oranges and Lemons

Say the bells of….. Saanich? That doesn’t have quite the right ring, but the point is that Bob and Verna Duncan have figured out how to harvest more than thirty varieties of citrus in the coastal BC climate.

If you’ve had a chance to visit their garden, you’ll know they use a fascinating mix of growing techniques, with some plants under glass and others outdoors with seasonal protection from the elements.

Intrigued? Come find out how they do it (and how you can too) at this year’s Seedy Saturday!

“Growing Citrus in South Coastal BC”, February 16, 11:30 am at the Victoria Conference Centre, 720 Douglas Street, is included in your admission to Victoria’s Seedy Saturday on a first-come-first-get-the-seats basis. Seedy Saturday runs from 10 to 4, admission $7, free for the under-12s.
