Small but Mighty

Trying to wedge a few (or a few more) edibles into what seems like an impossibly small garden? We can help with that.

Seedy Saturday is importing Andrea Bellamy (all the way across the Salish Sea from Vancouver) to talk about how to grow more food in small spaces. Andrea is the author of Sugar Snaps and Strawberries: Simple Solutions for Creating Your Own Small-Space Edible Garden and the “grow your own” columnist for Edible Vancouver magazine.

So if your food growing is confined to pots on an apartment balcony, a townhouse courtyard, or a small raised bed or two, come hear Andrea and find out how to create a small but mighty – that’s mighty productive – garden.

Andrea Bellamy, Small Space Edible Gardens: simple solutions for getting the most out of yours¸ February 16, 12:45 at the Victoria Conference Centre, 720 Douglas Street, is included in your admission to Victoria’s Seedy Saturday on a first-come-first-get-the-seats basis. Seedy Saturday runs from 10 to 4, admission $7, free for the under-12s.
