Thought for Food

Do you garden mainly to grow your own food? Then this year’s Seedy Saturday has a couple of talks that may be right up your raised bed.

At 10:15, Linda Gilkeson wants to know if, when you find a problem with one of your crops, you really know what that problem is. How can you tell whether the nefarious culprit is an insect, a disease, or an environmental disorder? She’ll show you how to diagnose accurately any ailments that may be coming between you and that fresh salad, and how to treat them organically.

And at 11:15, Robin Tunicliffe of Saanich Organics gives a talk titled Growing for All Seasons. She’ll explain how to plan and time your crops to get 12 months of delectable organic food harvests.

Thought for food and food for thought – all included with your admission to Seedy Saturday.
