Several, actually. Possibly yours.
It takes a lot of volunteers to stage Seedy Saturday, and this year we’ve got a few positions to fill.
We’re looking for a couple more cashiers – the perfect job for honest souls who have their “sevens” times tables firmly memorized and can make change the old-fashioned way, without electronic assistance.
We also need greeters to welcome eager gardeners as they arrive and to make sure they get their programmes and hand stamps. And we need speakers’ room monitors – those are the people who help keep the speakers’ programme running smoothly and on time.
We’re also looking for a couple of folks with specific technical skills: a photographer to help document the event and an a/v person to help ensure that all the speakers’ lovely photos of flowers and vegetables materialize on-screen as planned.
Most volunteers work a 4-hour shift and are expected to attend one orientation/training session beforehand.
If any of these way-too-good-to-pass-up volunteer jobs catches your fancy, you can find out more at Volunteer Victoria or email info@jamesbaymarket.com.
